As the dry winter weather sets in, so do itchy, flaky, scaly skin for my girls. Since they were born, we have always struggled with these skin problems for about six months a year. I have been officially diagnosed with a severe form of eczema and it has never been bad enough to require medical ointments, although I am reluctant to use them because of the steroid content. We’ve worn and tried just about every lotion and cream out there that runs the gamut from natural to full on medical grade and full of chemicals (insert horrible face here) . I even made my own cream at first after reading a few recipes online, but nothing ever worked (and I felt guilty because I tried something homemade on my girls and it didn’t work, as if I had them from today’s resources taken off or something).

Well, I decided to try my hand again at creating my own lot after the ones we used stopped working as the weather got colder and drier here in the Midwest.
