This is a great multi-purpose product. I have a golden retriever that goes in the shower every day and it smells like wet. There was nothing we could do to get rid of his unpleasant wet smell. Even a haircut couldn’t get rid of the smell. I used this stuff and it smelled amazing. in

My dog loves his daily dose! It smells good and makes her outfit look good. I think it helped to get rid of the fleas and spots on the surface. My dog is very sensitive to many things, but it doesn’t cause any problems.
While my dogs were eating dinner outside, I saw mosquitoes flying around my dogs and landing on them. I used two sprays and spread them and watched the mosquitoes fight. He tried to land, but he went crazy and no one landed. Ticks seem to be getting worse every year, and with things like Lyme disease to think about, it’s more important than ever to keep these pests out of our families. This is why I always make sure I have tiki essential oil on me whenever we go out.
We live in the woods of New Hampshire, one of the worst places for ticks and Lyme disease. I try to use all natural remedies with my family because I am not comfortable using chemicals like DEET on my family.
Fortunately, we have had the opportunity to make our own essential oil spray for my family. Actually, we found nothing

Tick when we use it. And my kids play outside almost every day in our yard (with tall grass) and in the woods (where ticks abound). The only time I ever found a tick crawling on one of my children was when we forgot to use homemade tick repellent.
The “secret” to repel ticks is geranium essential oil.
Share Some essential oils are labeled Rose Geranium, while others are simply geranium. The Latin name is very important here.
I have not used other brands and cannot vouch for their effectiveness. I have heard that some people have had mixed results with the NOW brand.

You may have noticed that this recipe does not recommend a carrier oil, such as fractionated coconut oil. This is because I wanted to be able to spray this on baby clothes, socks, shoes, etc. without worrying about oil stains. If you want, you can replace the apple cider vinegar with coconut oil, just be careful when using it on your clothes so as not to leave marks.
I love the essential oil spray bottle because it’s so easy and quick to use (with four kids), but the roller mix works great and you can target where to use it.

Fill a spray bottle with apple cider vinegar about 1/3 full. You don’t have to measure or be exact. Apple cider vinegar can help repel mosquitoes, so that’s an added bonus!
I recommend using 30-40 drops of essential oil per 4oz spray bottle. This money helped a lot to protect my family from ticks.

I also created a simple, quick video showing you how to make your own tick repellent. Look!
Spray well especially on the ankles, feet and legs and anywhere you may encounter ticks. If you are walking in the woods, put it on your hands/shoulders, etc. (Always avoid your face, ears, eyes, and nose.)
I’ve used this on unstained clothes, but as a precaution I recommend spot testing before spraying your favorite shirt. Just in case.
If you want to mix with a roller, you can make it easily. This is what you should have.

Fill the entire bottle with coconut oil. (Make sure to leave enough room for the ball stand. I’ve never done it once, it wasn’t pretty!)
I spray or apply tick repellent to my children once a day, usually in the afternoon when they come home from school. Unlike the mosquito net, I didn’t find this needed to be reapplied after several hours, but your needs may vary.
I still check my kids regularly for ticks, just to be sure. One of the best ways to avoid getting bitten by a tick is to just watch the tick and hope it doesn’t bite!
I hope this combination of natural oil DIY repellants works for you as it did for my family!

She enjoys her chickens, goats, and gardening on a small farm in New Hampshire, and is passionate about flowers and the many ways to restore body, mind, and life with women. on animals and people, but it seems that is not the case. Casual bloodsuckers instead do what’s called “hunting,” meaning they climb atop a blade of grass or branch and wait for the host to pass, then use their legs to strike. Our pets are usually very well behaved. Because of their close proximity to the ground, a dog’s legs and stomach are often the best places to catch ticks. If you find a tick on your pet’s head, it simply means that a tick has crawled there. Yes, ticks do not only love our dogs, but also their owners.
A tick bite can cause a variety of illnesses for both the dog and its owner. Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis (ie: canine fever) and spotted fever are just a few that have long-term effects on the victim’s health. The CDC also warns about POW (Powassan) which is more deadly than Lyme disease. Like Lyme, POWs are carried by deer. The CDC says POW will kill 10% of those infected and stop 50%. (CDC Link On POW) Some ticks can carry many of these at once, and it only takes one bite to become infected. This is why tick prevention is important.
There is good news if you are looking for a natural way to protect yourself and your dog.
